BizTek Cybersecurity Professionals (BTCS Pro), is a division of BizTek People, Inc.; a certified woman and minority owned business that was formed in 2010. Our cybersecurity division was initially created with small to medium sized clients in mind and has worked with clients in multiple industries including those considered critical infrastructure such as Electric, Gas, and Water utilities.

Shankar Viswanthan
CEO at BizTek People, Inc.

As the CEO of BizTek People, Inc (BTPI) Shankar has spend several years developing key employees who can independently run and explore different avenues of business for the company. Prior to BTPI, Shankar co-founded and ran a successful IT consulting firm DB Professionals which was sold to a Public company in 2006. Shankar received his bachelor’s degree in electronics and a master’s degree in production engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai in India.

FUN FACT: Shankar is an accomplished musician and performer. More specifically a classical Indian percussionist. 

Don Lee
Consulting Practice Director

As our Consulting Practice Director, Don brings over 25 years of experience managing various technology and innovation programs. Don is a retired United States Naval Officer, leading critical cryptology operations within the National Security Agency (NSA) related to US Navy and national infrastructure threat assessment and hardening.

Don also brings extensive corporate consulting experience with technology leadership experience in water utility sector technology integration and cybersecurity risk planning along with technology leadership experience in electric utility transmission, distribution, and customer service initiatives.

Don holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Accounting, and a PhD in Applied Management and Decision Science with a focus on Data Management as a key asset in 21st century decision-making. Don has also completed multiple courses in Cloud Platform Infrastructure and Security and is certified in Agile Project Management methodologies including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Certified Agile ScrumMaster (CSM), and has completed a certification in Cybersecurity Critical Infrastructure through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Cybersecurity Program.

FUN FACT: Don holds 4 black belts in various martial art disciplines, is a kung fu instructor, and teaches business and computer science courses at the University of the People 

Bryan Ressler
Director, Systems Engineering/Cybersecurity Architecture

As a Senior Systems Engineer, Bryan has over 30 years of IT experience.  Bryan has extensive financial experience in the Banking industry, as well as supporting ERP software as a Microsoft Partner.  He is well versed in Cloud infrastructure including AWS, Azure, SAS, and various hosted options, as well as the underlying hardware components used to implement the on-premises versions of various applications.  As a traditional Jack-of-All-Trades, Bryan can put his vast experience to work to solve any challenge that arises. 

He has studied Civil Engineering with a focus on water utilities at Ohio State University.  With his blend of education and expertise with SCADA systems you’d be hard pressed to find an engineer more capable than Bryan!

FUN FACT: Bryan  has an archaic knowledge of bad movie quotes, and is not afraid to use them. He hates Piña Coladas. 

Alicia Santiago
Director, Program Management

As our Project Manager, Alicia is trusted to run our teams as they handle the variety of needs your business has. She has a heart and talent for taking on projects in small businesses and non-profit organizations. don’t let that fool you, her industry experience is vast and includes education, supply chain management, data security, GIS, vendor management, and critical infrastructure. Her warm personality and results-focused leadership make her an excellent project manager to work alongside our teams for you.

FUN FACT: Alicia is a singer and songwriter who can be found on your favorite music streaming apps, and is partial to an Old Fashioned cocktail.

Nick Collins
Project Manager / Cybersecurity Business Analyst

As our Business Development Executive Nick is one of the first people clients will encounter.  He has a long career of working with people to find solutions tailored to their needs and does it all with a contagious smile.

FUN FACT: Nick loves traveling across the PNW visiting towns and trying their Micro Breweries 

Maria Pérez
Director, Customer Engagement

As our Director of Customer Engagement Maria has an extensive background of visual art, starting in graphic design but has evolved in the the role she holds today. She handles external facing computer applications which she uses to ensure that your customer facing web material is secure.  From implementing secure socket layers to multifactor authentication and anything in between she has handled it all. There isn’t a challenge she isn’t up for. 

FUN FACT: Maria loves whiskey, good local coffee and gourmet food. She spends her free time making great cocktails and great food for friends and family.
